Don’t Get too Hungry

One of my top recommendations for anyone recovering from bulimia, Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (EDNOS), Anorexia or binge eating disorder, is NEVER let yourself get too hungry. Keep almonds or Quest Bars on hand. If you’re worried about being able to control portions, keep snacks around that you don’t like that much at first. For example I like raw almonds well enough, but I LOVE peanuts.  Keeping peanuts around would be asking for trouble, but I can have raw almonds on me and not be tempted to over eat them.  What works for you may be a trial and error process, but keep something with you, because if you get too hungry you might overeat to compensate, and that is a one-way ticket to binge land.
